To Adopt an animal:
You will need a drivers license and check, cash, or money order for payment of $35 adoption fee.
Dogs and cats must comply with state law and be vaccinated against rabies, and a full check up at a vet of choice. It is mandatory to spay and neuter all animals adopted.
Rules of the Mineola Animal Shelter:

Animals surrendered with a litter will have an additional charge of $10 per puppy / kitten.
Found animals picked up by animal control (or Mineola pd) can be released back to owner during regular business hours.
Release fee is $30 for first day and $10 for each additional day.
Animals involved in a bite must be quarantined for 10 days either at the shelter or a vet of owner's choice.
Quarantine fee is $100 for a 10-day quarantine.
