The Mineola City Council unanimously selected City Secretary Cindy Karch to replace Mercy Rushing, who is retiring on February 28, 2025.
Cindy Karch joined the city in 2015. Prior to her work with the city she spent 20 years in banking. Cindy Karch was a member of the United States Air Force Reserves and served one tour in Iraq.
Following the council vote, Karch expressed her gratitude: "Thank you all for your vote of confidence," she said.
